David Gembala

David Gembala is the President & CEO of Apex Roofing, LLC, a commercial roofing contractor based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over a career spanning decades in commercial construction, he has focused on matching roof systems to the building rather than to habit — a philosophy he sums up as “most roof failures are decision failures.”

His specialty is lightweight insulating concrete (LWIC) roof assemblies, a system he has helped advance through Concrecel USA, a Fort Lauderdale company whose project record places it in the top 3% of Florida’s licensed contractors on BuildZoom.
